ABU DHABI – Tabatha Ricci scored her first octagon finish by strikes at UFC on ABC 9.
Ricci (12-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) landed a big elbow in the clinch, and some ground and pound to follow to take out Amanda Ribas (12-7 MMA, 7-6 UFC) at the 2:59 mark of Round 2 in their strawweight bout Saturday at Etihad Arena.

Ricci returned to the win column after a unanimous decision loss to former title challenger Yan Xiaonan this past November. Meanwhile, Ribas dropped her third fight in a row.
