Things could move quickly now for Gianluigi Donnarumma. After being dropped from the PSG squad for the Supercup against Tottenham on Wednesday, the Italian goalkeeper seems to have reached an agreement with his new club. At least that’s what ‘L’Équipe’ reports.

Donnarumma is said to have agreed with Manchester City and already spoken with Pep Guardiola, according to the report.

According to the report, Donnarumma should be cheaper than his successor Lucas Chevalier. PSG apparently paid 40 million euros plus 15 million euros in bonuses for him.

The goalkeeper’s agent was still reserved in a conversation with ‘Sky Sport’: “We will now think about solutions. Maybe there are clubs in the Premier League that are capable of paying the required amount,” said Enzo Raiola. He couldn’t resist a little dig at the Parisians: “Paris Saint-Germain demands a lot of money. They talk about respect, but it’s all about the money.”

They were also shocked by the club’s behavior. After four years together, there is “zero respect from the club”. Donnarumma was even ready to cut his salary, “but PSG changed the conditions again,” his agent added.

City could respond to the impending departure of Ederson with the signing of Donnarumma. The goalkeeper is likely heading for a move to Galatasaray.

Is this the right move for Donnarumma? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments.
