While a date is given for Luka Modric’s medical tests, Milan are busy trying to sell Ismael Bennacer and Yacine Adli to the Saudi Pro League.
Modric had already decided to come to the Rossoneri as a free agent after his contract with Real Madrid was allowed to run down, but first he had to complete his FIFA Club World Cup commitments.
With their elimination, the countdown began to the day when he would fly in for his medical tests and to sign the contract.
It is now confirmed by multiple sources that will be on Monday, July 14.
Milan need to make room for Modric

Meanwhile, Milan need to whittle down the existing midfield which is surplus to requirements, especially following the arrival of Samuele Ricci from Torino.
Both Bennacer and Adli spent last season on loan with an option to buy that was not activated by those clubs, specifically Olympique Marseille and Fiorentina.
Now they are trying to find new destinations and Sky Sport Italia report that both received proposals from the Saudi Pro League.
It remains to be seen whether either or both players will be prepared to accept those transfers, as Adli is also on the radar for Bologna.
