Mitchell Bakker has returned to his parent club, Atalanta, Ismaily left after being unable to agree on a contract extension, and Gabriel Gudmundsson has been sold to Leeds United.
These sudden departures have left Les Dogues with only one recognised left-back in the squad, Vincent Burlet (19), a Belgian youth international who had a convincing season on loan with Le Mans, in the third tier of French football, the semi-professional Championnat National.
La Voix du Nord reports that in Ligue 1, Stade Rennais are reportedly considering a move following the departure of Adrien Truffert (23) to AFC Bournemouth, while Premier League sides are also in the market for the fullback. A transfer could cost any interested party a minimum of €12m.
