Luka Modric is officially a new Milan player
Legendary Croatia international Luka Modric has officially signed for Milan as a free agent on a one-year contract with option to extend.
The midfielder had agreed personal terms last month, but waited until his FIFA Club World Cup commitments with Real Madrid had concluded before completing the move.
He flew in this morning to undergo medical tests with both the club and the local authorities, before putting pen to paper on a one-year contract, with an option to extend to the summer of 2027.

Modric will wear the Number 14 jersey at San Siro.
Milan adventure for legend Modric

Modric turns 40 in September and has a massive 188 senior caps for Croatia, along with 597 competitive games in the Real Madrid jersey over a 13-year spell.
He won practically everything with the Merengues, including the 2018 Ballon d’Or, six Champions League trophies, four LaLiga titles, five Club World Cup editions, five UEFA Super Cups, two Copa del Reys and five Spanish Super Cups.

Milan become only the fourth club of his career after GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.
When the opportunity came to join the Rossoneri, Modric jumped at the chance, having been a Milan supporter since childhood, as revealed by fellow Croatian Zvonimir Boban.
