The event took place from the Shanghai Indoor Stadium in Shanghai, China. With the massive time difference, the action went down in the early hours to be in primetime in China.

Walker stopped Zhang Mingyang, a heavy favorite, in the second round with a perfectly-placed attack. The light heavyweight snapped a three-fight run of not getting his hand raised, improving to 22-9 overall.

Former UFC champion Aljamain Sterling bested Brian Ortega in the co-main event. The bout was moved to a catchweight after Ortega struggled to make the featherweight limit.

Sergei Pavlovich, Su Mudaerji and Taiyilake Nueraji were all main card winners live on ESPN+, as Nueraji stopped Kiefer Crosbie in the first round.

The next UFC event will take place Saturday, September 6 from the Accor Arena in Paris, France. Nassourdine Imavov faces Caio Borralho in the headline bout in the middleweight division.
